SOUTHBRIDGE – The Southbridge Republican Town Committee announced this weekend that it is endorsing, with words and with donations, Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senator and Dr. Scott Lively for Governor in this year’s Republican Primary. Both men will head to Washington fully supporting President Trump and championing the return to American greatness, according to the group’s press release.
“These candidates most closely embody the principles which our Town Committee embraces – Respect for life, devotion to family, defending America and cutting spending,” says Republican Committee Secretary Bob Chernisky. “And we are confident that both can win not only in the Primary but also in the General Election,” he continues.
In the Primaries, unenrolled voters are the key voting block. In Massachusetts, unenrolled voters can participate in either the Democratic or Republican primary, simply by choosing that party’s ballot on primary day, September 4, 2018.
“If those principles align with yours,” adds Chernisky, “you should pull a Republican ballot on September 4 and vote for Diehl and Lively.”
