SOUTHBRIDGE – It is that time of year again and as the weather gets colder, a local ecumenical group is once again giving out winter coats to those in need. The winter coat closet will be open on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. until Dec. 15. The coat closet is located at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 446 Hamilton Street in Southbridge. The entrance to the coat closet can be accessed on the side of the building down a short staircase to the basement area of the church. Coats are available for all ages and some winter accessories such as mittens and gloves are also available.
The ecumenical group is still accepting donations of winter coats to include in the “coat closet” effort. This year, a particular area of need is for coats that would fit older children or younger adolescents. For more information, you can call (508) 248-4726.
