The United Way of Southbridge, Sturbridge and Charlton is seeking volunteers for their annual Day of Caring events on September 14.
Organizers are seeking help with landscaping, painting and crafting for 18 different projects in Charlton, Southbridge and Sturbridge. Projects include cleaning up playgrounds in Southbridge to painting fences and pavilions in Sturbridge. Once again, the Tri-Community YMCA is looking to freshen up Camp Foskett in Charlton after a busy summer of campers. A new project is a morning craft session with disabled adults at the Center of Hope Dayhab in Sturbridge. Organizers promise there is a little something for everyone.
Volunteers must print and sign the liability waiver to bring with them to their work site. Participants must register by August 31 to guarantee a “Day of Caring” T-shirt. To volunteer, visit their website by clicking here.
