Toy drive underway in Southbridge area

Police, Lions Club partner once again

SOUTHBRIDGE — The Southbridge Lions Club and the Southbridge Police Department are sponsoring their second annual Cops “N” Kids & Lions Toy Drive. Please help us bring Christmas to deserving children in our area by donating new, unwrapped, non-violent toys by December 20.  Of particular need are toys for adolescents ages 12 through 16. Some gift ideas for this age group ranging up to $30, include: water bottles, reusable straws, pop socket, skin care kit, scrunchies, cool charging cables, stick-on phone card holder or phone case, portable phone charger, also neutral baseball caps –

Locations to drop off toys include Avelino Restaurant, Big Bunny Market, Cedar Street Cafe, Cedar Street Grille, Harrington Hospital, Jacob Edwards Library, Micknuck’s Marketplace, Southbridge Credit Union (all locations), Southbridge Fire Department, Southbridge Common, Southbridge Police Department, Southbridge Town Hall, Sturbridge Police Department, and The Duck.

All toys will benefit local families. Monetary donations can be made at any Southbridge Credit Union location. Contact for sponsorship or donation opportunities.
