The Southbridge Lions Club hosted its 29th Annual Cartoon Character Breakfast, serving almost 800 kids, families, and friends on Super Bowl Sunday. Those attending enjoyed a hearty breakfast with the likes of their favorite cartoon characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Big Bird, Spiderman, and Batman just to name a few of the cartoon celebrities who made an appearance. The success of this event is a result of the overwhelming support we received again this year from Southbridge and our surrounding communities—thank you! All proceeds will benefit local charitable organizations, schools, community events and individuals who need a helping hand.
A special thanks goes out to the following businesses, organizations, and friends whose support continually helps make this event the success it is: the Southbridge High School National Honor Society and Student Council, students from ASPIRA and the Trinity School, Glenn Petit, Mitch Smith, Griffin and Nolan Harold and Sofia Harold, Unplugged Gaming, Jack and Olivia Sansoucy, Sue Guerin, Ben Tully, Judy LaRochelle, Mary Lou Volpe, Mike McGlone, our extra character helpers, Attorney Michael Colognesi, Big Bunny Market, All Star Incentive Marketing, Mike Trombley with the Southbridge Community Center, Garelick Farms, H.P. Hood Company, Country Side Farms, The Southbridge News, and Colonial Copy Center.
