Democrats to host event at Misty View Farm
NORTH BROOKFIELD — The North Brookfield Democratic Town Committee is gearing up to host its first annual Community BBQ to benefit the NB DTC Lucy Stone Memorial Scholarship.
The festivities will be taking place on Saturday, June 30 from 12 – 3 p.m. at Misty View Farm, located at 9 Ashley Road in North Brookfield. Residents of North Brookfield and the surrounding towns are invited to attend this afternoon of good company, great food, live music, a beer garden, a silent auction, pony rides, lawn games, and all around family fun. Come spend time with friends, meet new people, and hear from a host of office holders and candidates about issues vital to residents in Central Massachusetts.
The event will feature an exciting lineup of speakers and guests, including:
- Congressman Jim McGovern
- Senator Anne Gobi
- Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early, Jr.
- Quentin Palfrey and Jimmy Tingle, Candidates for Lt. Governor
- Jean Strauss, Candidate for State Rep, 5thWorcester District
- Tanya Neslusan, Candidate for State Rep, 1stHampden District
- Katie Toomey, Candidate for Worcester County Register of Deeds
- Paul Depalo, Candidate for Governor’s Council
Thanks to generous donations from more than twenty local businesses, artists, and craftspeople, a silent auction will be held to benefit a new Lucy Stone Memorial Scholarship fund to be awarded to a graduating senior of North Brookfield High School in 2019.
