BRIMFIELD — The weather is scheduled to warm this week and it is about time! We can all breathe a thankful sigh and get out preparing our gardens and looking to meet and greet friends at the 12th Annual Farmers’ Market at Hitchcock Academy’s parking lot.
The Farmers’ Market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays through October, though it is closed on the weekends of the thrice-annual Brimfield Antiques Show.
Executive Director of Hitchcock Academy, Susan Gregory expressed her thankfulness: “It feels wonderful to have the farmers and vendors returning! There is a great social aspect to the Farmers’ Market that helps to create community connections. I encourage people who come to the market this week to take a picture or two and post it on social media to remind friends to support local bounty.”
Linda Fuchs, the market manager says, “The official start of spring is the Brimfield Farmers’ Market! It has been quite the winter and spring is finally here!”
