PALMER — A late night car accident sent one person to the hospital while utility crews had to replace a pole overnight.
The Palmer Police Department responded to a one motor vehicle accident just prior to midnight on Monday. Police said the vehicle struck a utility pole on Shearer Street. One person, whose name, age, and gender was not publicly released, was transported to Baystate Wing Hospital with minor injuries.
National Grid responded within minutes and have been working on replacing the pole, police said. As utility crews did the work Shearer Street was closed from the intersection of North Main Street to Randall Street to Wilson Street.
