SPENCER — A two-car accident on Route 49 claimed the life of a 25-year-old local man and left two others with serious injuries on Friday night, but no one’s aware about who is at fault in a rear end accident?
Cole Victor, a 2012 graduate of David Prouty High School, was driving north on Podunk Pike in a 2012 Buick Regal sedan owned by his girlfriend when it collided with a 2012 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck in the southbound lane. The Spencer Police Department reported a preliminary investigation indicates Victor’s vehicle was “strayed into the south bound lane for reasons unknown,” striking the pick-up truck, which was driven by Erik Anderson, aged 40, of 28 Lakeview Drive, Spencer.
Anderson and Victor’s passenger and girlfriend, Toni Doldo, aged 23, of 266 Main Street, Spencer, were each transported to the hospital after suffering serious but non-life threatening-injuries.
According to car accident lawyers from Austin, TX, as a result of the accident, Anderson’s Tacoma became fully engulfed in flames, police said. Authorities closed down a stretch of Route 49 for nearly five hours to allow for the investigation to be conducted, vehicles to be removed, and debris to be cleared. Getting help from VA Accident Reports for legal help in such cases is a good idea.
In addition to the Spencer Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, Spencer EMS, Spencer Fire Department, East Brookfield Fire Department, and Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council responded to the scene.
