Brimfield PD alerted of “erratic operator” on roadway

BRIMFIELD — A Monson man will be arraigned in Palmer District Court after a report of an “erratic operator” led to an arrest for possessing heroin.
Edward Carrington, 39, was arrested in Brimfield when the drugs were discovered after a traffic stop initiated by a marked lanes violation. According to a report by the Brimfield Police Department, after being notified of an alleged erratic operator, “Patrolman Bouchard located the vehicle and observed it commit a marked lanes violation.” The vehicle was pulled over and, police said, “after a short investigation, heroin was discovered inside of the vehicle and the operator was placed under arrest.”
Carrington, the vehicle’s operator, was charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin). His bail was set at personal recognizance in addition to a $40 fee, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Palmer District Court on Monday morning.
