VALRICO, FLA. — William James “Bill” Tully, 93, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, in Brandon, Fla., after an illness.
Bill is survived by “my four beautiful daughters”, Cara Allen and her husband Willie of Valrico, Fla., Donna Tully of Grass Valley, Calif., Nancy Villeneuve and her husband Ron of Ellington, Conn., and Lori Frederick and her husband Bob of Falmouth, ME; his sister Jane Iozzo of New Britain, Conn.; his brother Benjamin Tully II and his wife Nancy of Southbridge; his cousin Debbie Sichol of Holland; his three grandsons, George Allen and his wife Marra, Colby Villeneuve and Sean Villeneuve; his great-granddaughter Jailyn Allen; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Robert Tully and David Tully and his sister, Margaret Boudreau.
Bill was born in Southbridge on July 20, 1926 the son of Benjamin and Esther (Egan) Tully, Sr. He graduated from the University of Michigan as a civil engineer. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during World War II. He married Loyce LePage, also of Southbridge in 1951. He moved from Maine to Florida after retirement and enjoyed golfing, following the Red Sox and traveling. His wit will be sadly missed but carried on by his family!
A graveside service for Bill will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, at 12 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Charlton St., Southbridge. There are no calling hours.
