Rita M. Adamick, 97

SOUTHBRIDGE — Rita M. Adamick, 97, formerly of Highland St., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, in the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Worcester, after a long illness.

She leaves several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her three brothers, Joseph Adamick, Chester Adamick and Henry Adamick and her two sisters, Nellie Hunt and Nora Adams.  Rita was born in Southbridge the daughter of Gabriel and Susan (Sobolewski) Adamick. 

Rita worked as an office clerk for Paquette Stationary in Southbridge for over 30 years, retiring many years ago.  She was a lifelong member of the former St. Hedwig’s Parish in Southbridge. 

Rita’s Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 10:00am in Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 446 Main St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southbridge.  There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 300 Barber Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
