State Police make arrest after Pike pursuit

CHARLTON — At approximately 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, a Massachusetts State Trooper assigned to Troop H attempted to stop a 2020 Nissan Route with a Vermont registration for motor vehicle violations on the Massachusetts Turnpike eastbound in Weston. The SUV failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. Troop H Headquarters authorized a pursuit and assumed command and control. The continued to flee on the Turnpike both eastbound and westbound and also on Route 95 northbound and southbound at high speeds.

When the pursuit crossed over into Troop C on the Turnpike westbound, that Troop Headquarters took command and control and Troopers from Troop C joined the pursuit. Troopers deployed stop stick tire deflation devices on the Turnpike westbound and successfully disabled the suspect vehicle in Charlton. The Rogue was occupied by four people. At least two are facing charges while the other two are subject of ongoing investigation.
