Sturbridge Seeks Members For the Town Administrator Search Committee

STURBRIDGE – The Town of Sturbridge will be seeking to fill vacancies on the Town Administrator Search Committee in accordance with the Sturbridge Town Charter Section 5.2.

Specifically, the Charter calls for the appointment of a five-member Town Administrator Search Committee consisting of one member of the Board of Selectmen, one Town Department Manager, and three registered voters who cannot be employed by the Town.  The Board of Selectmen will accept applicants for the position until August 28th in order to be interviewed by the Selectmen at a Special Meeting of the Board to be held on September 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.

This committee is needed to fill the impending vacancy in the Town Administrator’s position.  Current Town Administrator Leon Gaumond Jr. announced his resignation effective September 13th.  He was recently chosen to serve as the Town Manager of the Town of Weston, located roughly 15 miles from the City of Boston.
