SOUTHBRIDGE – The Fraternal Order of Eagles held its second annual Ride to End Violence and Abuse Saturday, Sept. 22. Riders gathered to register and get ready for the ride as early as 9 a.m. for the start of the ride at 11 a.m. As motorcycle riders showed up, the smell of fresh barbecue from a large smoker filled the air and music played.
Martin Kucharczyk said that he joins the ride in support of those who have suffered from the lasting impact of abuse and violence.
“I think it is great that we can do this. There are so many people who have been through these things, types of abuse. When you hear from someone who has been through it, you try to put yourself in their shoes,” Kucharczyk reflected.
All proceeds from the motorcycle run will go to the organization Stop Abuse Today, a nonprofit group from Holland, MA.
