AUBURN – The Worcester County District Attorney’s office has announced that “The victim found on the Massachusetts Turnpike near the Auburn exit on Wednesday night has been identified as Johannes H. Songdahl III, 22, of Norwell. The investigation is continuing. No other information will be released at this time.”

Songdahl’s remains were found on the westbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike around 10 p.m.  Wednesday, August 29. His remains were found near exit 10. State Police reported that Songdahl had severe injuries, but the nature of those injuries is not known to the public.

The death is being investigated by the State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services and Auburn Police.
