Closures on July 24-25 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be closing the I-290 eastbound on ramps this week in Worcester and Auburn. Police details will be on site to assist with directing traffic.

Overnight on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25, MassDOT’s contractor will be closing the Exit 10 (Hope Avenue, Worcester) and Exit 9 (Auburn Street, Auburn) on ramps to I-290 eastbound in order to allow for routine construction work to take place. Work hours will be from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.

Traffic looking to access I-290 eastbound at Exit 10 will be directed to continue on Hope Avenue to Southbridge Street in order to access I-290 eastbound.

Traffic looking to access I-290 eastbound at Exit 9 will be directed to follow detour signage from Auburn Street to travel along Southbridge Street in order to access I-290 eastbound.
