Southbridge Holiday Visions Seeks Volunteers for Decorating

📷 Large decorations to be distributed throughout Southbridge are seen during the 2017 workshop hours. This year, Southbridge Holiday Visions seeks volunteers once again for distribution and set-up as well as Santa’s parade through town to the tree-lighting ceremony.

SOUTHBRIDGE – It might barely be Halloween but holiday “elves” are already preparing decorations for Christmas and winter holidays in Southbridge. As the tradition has been for several years, volunteers with Southbridge Holiday Visions are unpacking, dusting off and sprucing up the hand painted decorations that can be seen along Main Street during the holidays. After the prep work is done, they will distribute the festive decorations throughout the downtown area.

Although the workshop dates are complete, and decorations have been prepared in the workshop, Southbridge Holiday Visions still needs volunteers for the distribution days. On the distribution days, volunteers help set up the festive décor throughout town. At the dates an times listed below, volunteers can meet at 76 Mill Street at the beginning of the shift of meet other volunteers to set up at locations throughout town during the distribution. At 76 Mill Street, go through the green double doors and upstairs to find the workshop.

There will be a tree lighting and a visit from Santa Saturday, Nov. 24 in downtown Southbridge. All are welcome to join Santa’s procession down Main Street that day with a festively decorated car, truck or other vehicle. Call (508) 277-4494 or email with any questions.

Sunday, Nov. 4:  9 a.m. – as needed

Saturday, Nov. 10:  9 a.m. – as needed
