SEBRSD offering ‘Grab & Go’ meals for students

Phone reservations urged in first come, first serve situation

SPENCER/EAST BROOKFIELD — Local students in need during the coronavirus school shutdown will have the opportunity to get a few free meals starting next week.

The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District is offering free breakfast and lunches for its students, with the first “grab and go” meals being distributed on Monday, March 23.

The meals will be distributed from Mary Queen of the Rosary, 60 Maple Street, in Spencer from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., as well as the East Brookfield Municipal Building on Connie Mack Drive in East Brookfield from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

School officials said each meal will include lunch for that day and a breakfast for the following morning.

Meals will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, though those who call Brianne Pulver, the district’s food services director, at 774-200-7162 may be able to reserve meals. Those picking up a meal must provide their last name and the number of students in their household.
