DUDLEY — Nichols College will host its first Relay for Life Sunday, April 8, from 2 to 8 p.m., on Vendetti Field to raise money for cancer research.
The event — which was organized in less than six months by a nine-member group of Nichols students — has already raised over $11,000 in less than three months. Approximately 150 people are registered to participate.
Relay for Life is a community-based fundraising event of the American Cancer Society, which organizes more than 5,000 such events across the world every year.
There will be food, prizes, and many different events including dunk tanks, Hula-hoop contests, Tug-o-War, and other activities.
