Local Realtors working to help teachers, service agencies

Teacher Drive concluded, Hat & Mitten Drive begins on Friday

AUBURN — Members of the REALTOR® Association of Central Massachusetts, led by the Association’s Community Action Committee, spearheaded a Teacher Drive to assist teachers in need during COVID-19 in Worcester County and the surrounding areas.

From August to September, Association members rallied to provide COVID-friendly items to teachers that were in need while keeping their students safe this school year. Items donated included disposable masks, hand sanitizers, and anti-bacterial sprays for teachers starting school in the fall.

The Community Action Committee will be running a Hat and Mitten Drive from Friday, October 16 to Friday, October 30, with the goal of assisting numerous schools and service agencies throughout Worcester County. The Committee is looking for new items including: hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks. Cash and check donations are also welcomed. You can drop off the items to RACM Headquarters located at 492 Washington Street, Auburn.
