STURBRIDGE – Due to ongoing eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus concerns, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close Wells State Park and Campground on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 2:00PM to accommodate Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control spraying operations in the Town of Sturbridge which is listed as high risk level of the virus. Wells State Park and Campground will reopen on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 1:00PM. For information about eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus, visit the DPH EEE website.


Wells State Park and Campground is located at 159 Walker Pond Road in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.
