CHARLTON — Ever want to learn how to juggle? How about taking a pratfall? Enjoy a little slapstick humor?

Gateway Players Theatre is sponsoring a free comedy theater workshop next month, led by a former Ringling Bros. clown. Nicole Portwood, perhaps better known to the public as Maggie the Clown, will lead the workshop with a focus on comedy movement, slapstick, pratfalls, and juggling.

The workshop will be held at the Charlton Public Library, 40 Main Street, on Saturday, April 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free workshop is an all ages event, from ages 8 through adult. To register, contact Gateway Players Theatre at 508-764-4531.

The program is presented by a grant from the Charlton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
