DUDLEY — Police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate an armed robbery at a West Main Street convenience store on Tuesday night.

It was approximately 10:50 p.m. when the Dudley Police Department responded to the Patriot Gas convenience store at 251 West Main Street upon receiving a report of an armed robbery in which a silver handgun was allegedly pointed at a store clerk. There were no injuries suffered in the incident, police said.

According to police, two suspects had entered the convenience store, one with the gun, and managed to obtain an undisclosed amount of cigarettes and cash before fleeing on foot in an easterly direction. Police believe the suspects then “left the area in an unknown vehicle, possibly a pickup truck.”

The armed suspect is described as a tall, skinny caucasian male, who wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, black pants, and black Croc-style shoes. The second suspect, who police said “could possibly be a female,” was wearing a grey-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black flip-flops, and black gloves, police report.

Local police have touched base with other law enforcement agencies, including Connecticut State Police as there have reportedly been similar incidents in recent weeks in northeastern Connecticut.

Police are seeking help from area residents and businesses who may have surveillance video between 10 and 10:30 p.m. along West Main Street, Route 197.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dudley Police Department at 508-943-4411. Officers Keith Remillard, Tyler Smith, Luis Pacheco, and Sergeant Paul Ceppetelli are investigating.
