Salvas found with heroin after robbery arrest
WEBSTER — Police arrested a local man after he and an unidentified accomplice allegedly fled after breaking into a home on Tuesday morning.
Patrick Salvas was scheduled to be arraigned in Dudley District Court on Wednesday after apprehended by Webster Police on Normandy Avenue. Salvas was charged with breaking and entering a building during a daytime to commit a felony, larceny from a building, possessing a class A substance, and possessing a class A substance with intent to distribute.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to a home at 2 Riverside Drive on Tuesday after neighbors heard a house alarm had been set off. Neighbors informed police two suspects had fled from the home, running in the direction of nearby construction pits near St. Joseph’s Cemetery. After a search of the area, authorities found the pair on Normandy Avenue in possession of items believed to have been stolen from the Riverside Drive residence.
After being brought to the police department, Salvas was found carrying an unspecified amount of heroin that police said appeared to be packaged for sale and distribution.
