MONSON — A pair of Palmer men were slated for a Christmas Eve date in court after they were arrested for allegedly selling narcotics to an undercover police officer.
According to a Tuesday morning statement released by the Monson Police Department, Joey J. Bush, Jr., 22, and Joseph E. Noel, 26, both of Palmer, were arrested on Monday after they allegedly sold suspected crack cocaine to an undercover officer working on a multi-agency investigation into the distribution of the drug in the area of downtown Monson. The investigation was conducted by members of the Monson Police Department and the Eastern Hampden County Drug Task Force.
According to police, officers seized a total of 5.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a scale, Suboxone, various narcotics paraphernalia, and $696 in cash.
Bush and Noel have each been charged with multiple counts of distribution of a class B substance and conspiracy to violate the drug law. Noel was also charged with possession of a class B substance with the intent to distribute and possession of a class A substance.
Police reported that both men were scheduled to be arraigned in Palmer District Court on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
