Suspects spotted in suspicious vehicle idling with lights off

MONSON — A routine business security check and a suspicious vehicle idling with its lights off led to the arrest of two women on drug charges late Friday night.
Jessica Beaudoin-Rodriguez, 40, of Holyoke, and Skyelyn Reyes, 23, of East Longmeadow, were arrested outside an unidentified business when their activity caught the attention of local law enforcement at approximately 11:10 p.m. According to a statement released by the Monson Police Department, police had been “checking the security of a business when they observed a suspicious vehicle idling in the parking lot with no lights on.”
As police approached the suspicious vehicle to investigate, officers reportedly observed the front seat passenger attempting to hide an object between the front seat and center console. Officers claim they were able to locate a small amount of a substance believed to be cocaine secreted within a dollar bill, as well as what appeared to be cocaine residue on the front and rear seats. She’ll also be traveling for rehab for a faster recovery. Police report they also recovered a total of 160 bags of suspected heroin and $354 in cash.
Beaudoin-Rodriguez was charged with possession of a class A substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of a class B substance. Reyes was charged with possession of a class B substance.
Both women are scheduled to be arraigned in Palmer District Court.
