WORCESTER — The Shepherd Hill Rams are heading to the Clark Tournament Semifinals after a 67-45 win over the Hudson Hawks at the Kneller Athletic Center on Monday evening.
The fourth-seeded Rams jumped out to an early lead, including a 12-0 run to close out the first quarter in the quarterfinal large school matchup against the fifth-seeded Hawks. Both teams had a 19-point scorer lead the way, with Kenneth Flynn leading the way for Shepherd Hill and Tim Person for Hudson. The difference, however, proved to be the performance of the rest of the squad. Cody Adams had a strong performance with 17 points for the Rams, with Jason O’Regan adding 10 points of his own in the victory. Andy Lenox was the next-best thing for the Hawks, picking up 10 points.
Hudson is eliminated from the annual invitational tournament with the loss. Shepherd Hill will take on either the top-seeded Quabbin Panthers or the eighth-seeded Auburn Rockets in the semifinals on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
