Breezy Road fire remains under investigation
AUBURN — Firefighters took on a shed fire on Tuesday night with a pair of mobile homes suffering damage in the process.
Multiple 911 calls were made around 9 p.m. to report a building fire in the area of 14 Breezy Road in Auburn. Upon arrival, according to the Auburn Fire & Rescue Department (AFRD), crews found “heavy fire” coming from a shed behind 21 Breezy Bend, next to a mobile home.
AFRD Deputy Chief Glenn Johnson said the residents were alerted to the fire by a loud bang outside of the home and quickly evacuated. The fire went two alarms and there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. An additional shed and two mobile homes were damaged from the fire, though there was no fire extension into the dwellings, authorities said. Deputy Johnson said the fire remains under investigation.
