Panthers pounded as Warriors roll

STURBRIDGE — The Tantasqua Warriors snared the David Prouty Panthers on Thursday afternoon, cruising to a 22-1 victory in five innings.

Tantasqua came out swinging, putting up seven runs in the first inning, plating six more in the second inning, and putting together a big nine-run third inning. The Warriors had 22 hits in the game, taking advantage of six David Prouty errors in addition to making solid contact from the start.

Dominic Brown led the Tantasqua lineup with four hits, driving in two and scoring four times. Darren Laprade collected three hits with four RBI for the Warriors.

On the mound, Colin Eliason worked the first three innings for Tantasqua, giving up one run while striking out four.
