SPENCER — Richard H. Stoddard, 83, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Richard was born in Worcester in 1935 the son of Harry & Evelyn (Beaudreau) Stoddard and he was a lifelong resident of Spencer. Richard was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He worked for many years as a supervisor at Presmet Corporation.

Richard is survived by his best friend and wife of 61 years Irene (Czynodel) Stoddard; two sons Phil and his wife Mary Stoddard of Spencer, James and Robin Stoddard of Charlton; and his four grandchildren Sara, Andrew, Colin, and Victoria, which made him very proud.

Funeral services are private with a Mass in Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Spencer. Burial following with full military honors in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Pillsbury Funeral Home 163 Main Street, Spencer, is directing arrangements.
