SOUTHBRIDGE — Norman E. Bertrand, 88, of 60 Charlton Street, died Saturday, Feb. 17 at UMASS.

He leaves two brothers, Roger Bertrand of Southbridge, and Antonio Bertrand of Southbridge; two sisters, Connie Thompson of Southbridge, and Shirley Buchanan of Southbridge; nephews, nieces, and grandnephews and grandnieces.  He was predeceased by his brother Richard Bertrand and two sisters, Ruth LaFlash and Theresa Prunier.

Norman was educated at Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, and lived in Southbridge all his life. He was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Antonio G. Sr. and Lillian (Provost) Bertrand. He enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar and listening to audiobooks.

Calling hours are 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. A prayer service will follow. An online guestbook is available at
