LEICESTER — Harvey L. Laperle, 94, died Thursday, January 7, in his home after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 74 years, Leonora “Nora” M. (Borelli) Laperle, two daughters; Denise L. Brown and her husband Michael of Franklin and Paulette Laperle of Pawtucket, R.I., two grandchildren Garrett and Maria Brown.
Harvey was born in Ware, son of Herman and Eva (Dragon) Laperle. He served his country and received a Purple Heart during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for many years at Red Star Trucking Co. before retiring. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a former member of the Teamsters Local 170 and the Worcester Elks Club.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, 34 Washington Street, Suite 310, Wellesley Hills, MA 02480. Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester, is directing funeral arrangements.
