SPENCER — Florence E. (Rich) Yaskoski, 104, passed away August 17 at The Meadows in Leicester.

She was born on May 4, 1915 in Plaistow, NH. the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Rich, she spent her entire life in Spencer and worked as a shoe stitcher for manly years. 

Florence’s husband, Edward Yaskoski, predeceased her in 1972. After Florence’s retirement, she enjoyed reading and knitting and was alway looking for a card partner. She loved animals and had many furry companions during her lifetime including her last “friend,” Shadow. 

Florence leaves a loving family including her son Lawrence Little & his wife Sylvia of Spencer, a granddaughter Deborah Sweeney and her husband Kevin, a great granddaughter Ceara Sweeney and a great grandson Airman First Class Kevin T. Sweeney and his wife Casey. She also leaves many other caring nieces and nephews, and had an especially close bond with Debra Faugno-Cormier and Judy Faugno. We wish to extend our many thanks to the wonderful staff at The Meadows for their excellent care.
