SOUTHBRIDGE — Edward L. Cadarette, 66, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, after a long illness.

He leaves his three brothers, Hector “Gene” Cadarette of Southbridge, David Smith of Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., and Leo Boudreau of Florida; his two sisters, Wendy Bertrand of Southbridge and Lynda Przybycien of Sturbridge; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his step-mother, Patricia Cadarette and his five brothers, Jack Cadarette, Alton Cadarette, Sr., Ronald Cadarette, Mark Smith and Richard Cadarette.  Edward was born in Southbridge the son of the late Hector and Dorothy M. (Littlewood) Cadarette.  He attended Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge.

Edward worked at Hyde Manufacturing in Southbridge for many years before retiring to Florida.  He previously worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge.  He was known for his great sense of humor and a person that everyone loved being around.

Ed’s funeral services and burial will be private.  There are no calling hours.

The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
