PALMER — Edward F. Hubert, 74, died on May 26, after complications from pancreatic cancer.
He was born August 23, 1944, in Palmer, son of Edward L. and Sophie (Borowiec) Hubert. Ed was a lifelong resident of Palmer and graduated from Palmer High School in 1962. Ed worked for his families, business Hubert Taxi in Palmer for a few years. He retired from Peter Pan Bus Company after working for 33 years as a bus driver and a dispatching manager.
Ed loved the sport of hockey, he played at Palmer High and on a men’s league the Quaboag Aces for many years. He was an avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan and a New York Giants fan. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a member at Quaboag Country Club for many years.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Diane (Lusty) Hubert of Palmer and a brother in law David Lusty and his wife Jeanne of Chicopee. He also leaves a aunt Margie Livas, nephews Stephen Lusty (Sarah), Robert and Daniel Lusty, and three great nieces and nephew, and cousins.
