SOUTHBRIDGE — Armand O. Rondeau, 77, died Friday, April 13, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 36 years Patricia (Gracyalny) Rondeau. They were married February 13, 1982.
He leaves a son Jason Rondeau and his wife Katrina of Northbridge, two daughters Deborah Ward and her husband Reid of Southbridge, and Lori Kaszowski and her husband Jeffrey of Charlton, five grandchildren Matthew Ward, Nicholas Ward, Ashley Kaszowski, Amber Kaszowski, and Emerson Rondeau, and one great-granddaughter Aria Milian. He also leaves a brother Clifford Rondeau and his wife Jeanne of Southbridge, and a sister Diane Laliberte and her husband David of Mannheim, Penn., several nieces and nephews
He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Ovila and Rita (Lepain) Rondeau and has lived here all his life. He graduated from the former Cole Trade High School in Southbridge. He was a member of St. Hedwig’s Church and served in the National Guard for many years.
Armand worked for American Optical Co, in the maintenance department, and later as a truck driver for Arland Tool in Sturbridge. He also was a car enthusiast, loved his Patriots and Red Sox, and enjoyed doing yard work at his home. Armand also was the groundskeeper at St. Hedwig Cemetery for many years.
The funeral will be Tuesday, April 17, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, with a Mass at 10 a.m. at Saint Hedwig Church, Everett Street, Southbridge. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge. Burial will be at Saint Hedwig Cemetery, North Woodstock Road, Southbridge.
