Bronze monument to be crafted in lost-wax method
ORLANDO — Bronze-Depot.Com, Inc., recently announced it had been selected to design and manufacture the Fireman Memorial Statue for the Dudley Fire Fighters Association.
Bronze-Depot.Com, Inc., based in Orlando, has been in the business of providing stock and custom built bronze works of art for the past 35 years.
The statue is being created from pictures of numerous poses of a Dudley firefighter in full gear. A conceptual drawing was provided and the project was born.
The statue will be made in the ancient “Lost Wax Method” process. The likeness will be sculpted in wax. Pictures of the sculpture as its being made by following the method of general fabrication will be forwarded to the Dudley Fire Fighters Association for approval. The wax sculpture is cut into suctions and molds are made. The bronze parts are cast from the molds, welded together and then colored (patina process) using acid.
