STURBRIDGE — A motor vehicle stop on Monday night on Route 84 led to the arrest of a man for trafficking in methamphetamine.

At about 10 p.m., Trooper Joel Daust stopped a 2006 Toyota Prius on Route 84 Westbound in Sturbridge after determining that the registered owner had a suspended license. Upon making contact with the operator, Dustin Sirois, 39, of Boston, Trooper Daust confirmed that his license was suspended. While conducting a motor vehicle inventory prior to towing the vehicle, the trooper located approximately 25 grams of a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine.

Sirois was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and operating after suspension. Bail was set at $5,000 pending his arraignment in Dudley District Court.
